Elders for Climate Sanity (E4CS) is a group of H350 elders that connect with others across Hamilton around the climate crisis.
We have made educational presentations at retirement homes, churches and libraries. We have also created our own peaceful protests such as pickets at local banks to call for a divestment from fossil fuels.
Other common activities include writing letters to politicians and newspapers and collaborating with ForOurKids, an organization of parents and grandparents who are committed to climate action for all our children.
Current Actions
This spring, Canada’s largest public pension plans have a big opportunity to tell two of Canada’s biggest banks to stop financing fossil fuel expansion, disclose credible climate transition plans and respect Indigenous rights. And you can raise your voice to help.
